Mumbai: The controversy surrounding Disha Salian’s death has reignited after Nilesh C Ojha, the lawyer representing her father, made serious allegations against the previous Uddhav Thackeray government and police officials. Ojha claimed that Disha was murdered when Uddhav Thackeray was in power, and because his son, Aaditya Thackeray, was accused, corrupt police officials covered up the case.

Ojha stated that after 2.5 years, when the Shinde government came to power, a PIL was filed in September 2023, demanding an FIR and action in the case. He further mentioned that in December 2023, the Shinde government formed an SIT to investigate the matter.

On January 12, 2024, a written complaint was submitted, accusing Aaditya Thackeray, Suraj Pancholi, and others of gang rape, but no FIR has been registered for over a year. Ojha also alleged that Aaditya Thackeray falsely claimed in an affidavit that the CBI had given him a clean chit, while former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh allegedly tried to prevent any action against him.
