On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, along with his family, participated in the age-old tradition of seeking blessings from Lord Ganesha. The Fadnavis family was seen offering their prayers with utmost devotion, creating a spiritually enriching atmosphere.
Addressing the media, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis extended his warm wishes to Lord Ganesh devotees in Maharashtra, across India, and around the world. He invoked Lord Ganesh’s blessings to empower the state and the nation to overcome the challenges they face.
Fadnavis remarked, “I would like to extend warm wishes to the devotees of Lord Ganesh in Maharashtra, India, and in the world on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi… I would pray to Lord Ganesh that he gives us the strength to put a check on the hurdles our state and the nation face… It’s a pleasant coincidence that today we are witnessing ‘Shri Ganesha’ of the new Parliament building…”
Earlier in the day, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also observed the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at his Mumbai residence, where he performed the Ganesh aarti alongside his wife. He later interacted with the media, extending greetings to all Ganesh devotees and sharing insights from his recent visit to Jammu & Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to convey his wishes on the occasion. He posted, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to the countrymen! Ganpati Bappa Morya!” in one of his tweets. In another, he sent greetings to his fellow citizens across the country and expressed his hope that the festival, associated with the worship of Vighnaharta-Vinayak, brings good luck, success, and prosperity into their lives.
Ganesh Chaturthi marks the beginning of a ten-day-long celebration cherished by millions of devotees across India. It’s a time of fervent prayer, joyous festivities, and a deep sense of communal unity.
