In a shocking development, a major LPG irregularity has been exposed in Bhopal, raising serious concerns for lakhs of consumers across India.
A surprise raid by the Food Department revealed that several cylinders were underweight by up to 2.5 kg—a massive violation compared to the allowed margin of just 150 grams.

Food officer Safdar Khan said, “Several cylinders were found underweight… some short by 1 kg, 2 kg, and even 2.5 kg… 40 cylinders had less gas and some were without seals.”
Out of around 340 cylinders checked, this large-scale discrepancy has sparked fears of a wider scam.
13 Hours for Just 20 Km? Big Red Flag
Gas agency owner Sunil Saini revealed a suspicious detail:
“The vehicle left the plant at 8 pm and reached at 9 am—taking 13 hours to cover just 20 km.”
This unusual delay has raised serious questions about possible tampering during transit.
