Bollywood actress Lara Dutta has shared a worrying update from Dubai, saying she has been stuck there with her daughter as tensions rise due to the ongoing Iran–Israel conflict.
In a video shared on Instagram, the actress described the tense atmosphere in the city and spoke about the fear she experienced after hearing explosions and seeing missiles being intercepted in the sky.
Explosions Overhead During Shoot
Lara revealed that she was at a studio on February 28 for a shoot when the situation suddenly became alarming.
According to her, loud explosions were heard overhead, forcing people inside the studio to rush outside. She said they saw missiles being intercepted in the sky. Calling the past few days stressful, she admitted that the sound of fighter jets and repeated loud blasts created panic.
Her daughter has been with her in Dubai during this time, while her husband, Mahesh Bhupathi, was away for work and not in the UAE when the incidents happened.
“It’s Unnerving but I Don’t Feel Unsafe”
The actress explained that although the sounds of war are frightening, she has not felt personally unsafe. She shared that the windows of her villa shake due to the blasts and that the doors sometimes rattle because of the loud noise.
Describing the situation as “unnerving,” she said the constant movement of fighter jets and sudden booms have made the atmosphere tense. However, she clarified that she still feels secure in her neighborhood.
Praises UAE Government for Safety Measures
Lara also praised the authorities in the United Arab Emirates for ensuring residents feel protected. She said the government has taken strong steps to maintain safety and order despite the regional conflict.
According to her, residents, regardless of nationality, feel valued and cared for. She expressed gratitude toward the UAE leadership for managing the crisis effectively and keeping daily life as normal as possible.
She even mentioned that routine services in her area continue without disruption, highlighting how local workers still report for duty despite the tense situation.
Support From Industry Friends
Actress Sonal Chauhan, who recently returned to India after being stuck in Dubai due to Middle East tensions, reacted to Lara’s video. She sent her best wishes and asked her to stay safe.
The Iran–Israel conflict has created fear across several Middle Eastern cities, affecting flights, businesses, and daily life. While Dubai remains secure, the psychological impact of hearing war-related activity nearby has left many residents anxious.
As the situation continues to develop, Lara’s message has given fans a real glimpse into how global tensions are affecting Indians living abroad.
