Islamnagar: Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav addressed a large gathering in Islamnagar on Wednesday, emphasizing the need for unity in the state and urging support for his son, Tejashwi Yadav, as the next Chief Minister of Bihar. The public meeting marked the 24th death anniversary of the late Krishna Ballabh Prasad, and Lalu used the occasion to underline the importance of solidarity among the people of Bihar.

Addressing the crowd at the Khanqah School Ground, Lalu reaffirmed his strong stance, saying, “We have neither bowed down to anyone, nor will we. What Lalu Prasad Yadav says, he does.” He called for a united effort to form a government with Tejashwi at the helm, stressing that the time had come for a change in leadership in Bihar.

Lalu Prasad began his address by paying respects at the Maa Jagdamba temple and the Mazar of Lodi Shah, symbolizing his commitment to the spiritual and cultural fabric of the state. He appealed to the people of Bihar to join hands and ensure a collective effort to safeguard the future of both the state and the nation.

In his speech, Lalu promised key reforms if the RJD-led government comes to power. He stated that women in Bihar would receive a direct transfer of ₹2,500 into their accounts, following the model established in Jharkhand. Additionally, Lalu vowed to provide free electricity to the people of the state, presenting his vision for a prosperous and secure future under Tejashwi’s leadership.

Lalu’s impassioned speech resonated with the crowd, as he called on the people to unite in support of Tejashwi Yadav and the RJD’s vision for Bihar. With his characteristic style of leadership, Lalu emphasized the importance of unwavering support for his son, promising a brighter and more prosperous Bihar under Tejashwi’s rule.
