Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has withdrawn the night curfew announced yesterday to curb the spread of the new COVID-19 strain detected in Britain. In his statement to the media persons, he said that the decision to withdraw the night curfew has been taken in the wake of public opinion against it.
Mr. Yediyurappa said that the decision to withdraw the night curfew to be imposed from tonight was taken after discussions with the Cabinet colleagues and senior officials. The Chief Minister has urged upon the citizens to impose self restraint by wearing face masks and ensuring social distancing. He has asked citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and follow COVID-19 regulations to help stop the spread of the virus.
