Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district vice-president of Kupwara Javid Qureshi hoisted the National Flag at his Handwara residence to mark the 76th Independence Day. 

Qureshi grandly celebrated India’s 76th Independence Day at his Handwara residence. More than three hundred party workers participated in the event, marking the country’s collectiveness and broad diversity. 

Flag hoisting ceremony held across various institutions in parts of Kashmir under the theme, #AzaadiKaAmritMahautsav, an Initiative by the Union Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Addressing the flag hoisting ceremony he conveyed the message that the privilege to enjoy freedom in its true sense is equal to all Indians, for it is their birthright, as the great freedom fighter.  Anyone trying to deny this right is doing so against the constitution and judiciary of the state.
