Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Sameer Wankhede, currently under scrutiny for alleged financial and procedural irregularities, has spoken out about his interactions with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Wankhede, known for leading the team that arrested Shah Rukh’s son, Aryan Khan, on drug-related charges in 2021, shared his perspective in a recent interview with The Lallantop.
Wankhede characterized the Aryan Khan case as ‘the smallest case of (his) life’ and expressed his lack of regret regarding his actions. He affirmed his readiness to repeat them, asserting, “I have absolutely no regrets. If given a chance to return to my post, I would do it all again.” When asked if his statements were a warning to Shah Rukh Khan, Wankhede responded humbly, saying, “No, I’m a small man. Who am I to warn anybody?”

Wankhede also reflected on his tenure with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), acknowledging the prevalence of mothers seeking assistance for children with drug addictions. He described his approach to counseling them as part of his duty, underscoring the challenges of law enforcement amidst societal complexities.
