More than 190 crore 50 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. The Health Ministry said, more than 13 lakh 90 thousand doses were administered in the last 24 hours. During the same period, two thousand two hundred and eighty-eight new cases were reported in the country.
India’s active caseload currently stands at 19 thousand 637 and it is at 0.05 percent. The recovery rate is currently at 98.74 percent. The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 0.79 percent while the daily positivity rate is at 0.47 percent.
A total of 84 crore 15 lakh COVID tests have been conducted in the country so far. In the last 24 hours, more than four lakh eighty-four thousand tests were conducted.
Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has said that over 3 crore youngsters between 12 to 14 years of age group have received the first dose of Covid -19 vaccine. He congratulated all those children who got vaccinated. In a tweet, Dr. Mandaviya said that children are making a significant contributions to the vaccination drive and are fighting the pandemic with full vigour.
