New Delhi: In a significant escalation following heightened tensions, the Indian Armed Forces on Thursday launched targeted strikes on Pakistan’s air defence infrastructure, the Ministry of Defence confirmed.

According to the official statement, Indian forces aimed at air defence radars and associated systems located at multiple strategic points inside Pakistan. One of the key installations — the air defence system stationed in Lahore — was reportedly neutralised in the precision strike.

“The Indian Armed Forces on Thursday targeted Air Defence Radars and systems at a number of locations in Pakistan,” said the Ministry of Defence, adding that the operation was conducted in a “swift and calculated manner” to degrade the adversary’s aerial combat readiness.
