Indian Army Soldier Killed in Encounter with JeM Terrorists in Udhampur, J&K

Udhampur: An Indian Army soldier was killed in action on Friday night during an encounter with terrorists in Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces have reportedly trapped three to four Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists in the area.

According to the Army’s White Knight Corps, an intelligence-based operation was launched in the Kishtwar area. In a post on X, the Corps said, “Alert troops established contact with terrorists at around 8 pm on September 19. Exchange of fire took place. Operations are currently ongoing.”

A joint operation was carried out by the Indian Army and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Seoj Dhar forest border area, covering Dudu-Basantgarh in Udhampur and Bhaderwah in Doda. Security forces cordoned off the entire region.
