In this connection the 160 Infantry Battalion TA has distributed 1,000 N-95 masks and to local residents in remote areas of Warsun and Awoora.

Kupwara Terriers of Indian Army on Monday distributed these facemasks to the general public in far flung areas of Kupwara district to create awareness among the masses about the importance and necessity of using masks to prevent the pandemic.

While distributing the masks people were also requested to take preventive Covid-19 measures seriously and follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in order to contain the spread of the Coronavirus variants effectively.

The measures undertaken by the Indian Army, Kupwara Terriers, were highly appreciated by the locals and they thanked the Indian Army for such a great service towards the society and the nation.
