Srinagar: On the occasion of National Journalism Day 2021, Kupwara Terriers, Indian Army organised a friendly T20 cricket match with the media persons from Kupwara. The event was organised with an aim to strengthen the bond between the Indian Army and the media.
Media XI won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 142/2 in 20 overs. Kupwara Terriers XI scored 143/6 in 18 overs.
The match was won by Kupwara Terriers XI and Man of the Match was Tasaduq Hussain of Media XI who scored 60 runs. Lieutenant Colonel Digvijay Pathania from Kupwara Terriers, Indian Army handed the trophy to the winning team and applauded the players for their excellent game.
Such matches further consolidate the symbiotic relationship between the two noble institutions that carry an onerous responsibility towards the nation and have high stakes in the overall development of the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
