Indian Army camp at Jaba in association with Borderless World Foundation conducts medical camp at Behnipura

Srinagar: A Medical camp was organized by the Indian Army in conjunction with Borderless World Foundation (headquartered at Pune) at Behnipura as a unique gesture to alleviate hardships of local populace from remote areas. The Indian Army along with the Civil administration came together with the NGO and shared resources to conduct a medical and health check-up camp for local people of Behnipura, Lachhampura, Sarmarg and Satkoji Panchayats.

The camp was organized at PHC, Behnipura wherein two Gynaecologist, two Dental Specialists, one Orthopaedic, two Eye Specialists and two Medical Specialists, one Paediatrician, one Counsellor and one Homeopathy Consultant from Borderless World Foundation and one Medical Officer from Indian Army is worked tirelessly on Wednesday to provide medical support to the villagers.

A total of 425 Patients registered and got themselves checked in the camp. Besides routine medical check-up, special emphasis is being laid on screening people in vulnerable age groups for lifestyle diseases.

Specialist advice and awareness drive on COVID, AIDS, Family planning and immunisation was also imparted during the interaction. Community leaders expressed their satisfaction and happiness over the initiative taken by the Indian Army and the NGO.
