Army Goodwill School, Dawar organised a grand School Annual Day


Srinagar: Army Goodwill School, Dawar celebrated its Annual Day on Wednesday with great pomp and show on the momentous occasion of its 18th Raising year. The grand celebration commenced in the morning at the Army Goodwill School, Dawar and was attended by a huge gathering of parents, teachers, alumni, officers of the civil administration, police and Indian Army from different corners of the valley. The chief guest of the celebration was Brigadier Ajay Singh Dabas, Commander of the Gurez based Snow Leopard Brigade.

The colourful event showcased many cultural programs not only from the children of AGS Dawar but from many other schools. A display by the smart NCC cadets was also carried out during the event and meritorious students were awarded medals and certificates.

The Head Boy and Head Girl were announced during the event and “Best House Trophy” was awarded to Orange House for exceptional performance in academics and Extracurricular activities. 

A live screening of the event was also conducted on Zoom cloud meeting from 1100 hrs onwards, which was attended by parents, alumni and many others from across the country who were unable to attend the grand function.

The Annual day culminated with a speech by the Chief Guest to motivate the children and a vote of thanks by the teachers followed by a high tea.
