India delivered a robust response to Pakistan’s comments on the Kashmir issue during the 184th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Geneva, reaffirming its unwavering stance on territorial integrity.

Using India’s Right to Reply, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Harivansh Narayan Singh, issued a strong statement, emphasizing New Delhi’s steadfast position regarding its territories.

“I take the floor to reject the preposterous comments made by Pakistan against my country. India is the largest democracy in the world, and I am privileged that many consider the Indian democracy a model to be emulated,” said Harivansh.

He dismissed Pakistan’s criticisms, stating that “lectures” from a nation with an “abysmal track record of democracy is laughable, to say the least.”

Harivansh criticized Pakistan for undermining the importance of platforms like the IPU with “absurd allegations and false narratives.”

Addressing Pakistan’s remarks on Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, he asserted, “They have been and will always remain an integral and inalienable part of India. No amount of rhetoric and propaganda from anyone can override this fact.”

Harivansh urged Pakistan to focus on curbing its “terror factories” responsible for launching cross-border attacks in Jammu and Kashmir while hypocritically claiming to advocate for human rights.

He highlighted Pakistan’s association with global terrorism, noting that Osama Bin Laden, the face of terror, was found in Pakistan. Harivansh condemned Pakistan for hosting a large number of UN Security Council-proscribed terrorists, labeling it an ignoble record.

India’s firm rebuttal at the IPU Assembly underscores its commitment to defending its territorial integrity and exposing Pakistan’s support for terrorism on the global stage.
