Mumbai : In a move aimed at strengthening global peace initiatives and accelerating progress on the United Nations-backed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the I Am Peacekeeper Movement (IAPM) has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIMSAM UN Asia. The agreement was signed by Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala on behalf of IAPM and Dr. Sahil Singh, Ambassador for Strategic Partnerships and UN SDGs at IIMSAM.
The partnership brings together two institutions working in the areas of peacebuilding, sustainability, and humanitarian action, with a specific focus on tackling malnutrition through scalable, on-ground interventions.
Focus on Outcomes, Not Optics
According to the organisations, the collaboration will centre on developing initiatives that go beyond awareness campaigns to deliver measurable impact. This includes programs aligned with SDGs that aim to strengthen community-level interventions and enable cross-border collaboration. A key priority under the partnership is addressing malnutrition — a persistent global challenge — through sustainable and nutrition-driven solutions.
Leadership Statements
Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala said the collaboration reflects a shared vision of creating long-term global impact through coordinated action. “By aligning with IIMSAM, we aim to strengthen the reach and effectiveness of the I Am Peacekeeper Movement through global collaboration and actionable initiatives,” he said. Dr. Sahil Singh emphasised the need for scalable programs that translate SDG commitments into tangible outcomes. “This partnership will help advance initiatives that contribute meaningfully to global well-being and peace,” he noted.
Linked to Upcoming Global Platform
The partnership is also expected to contribute to discussions at the upcoming Billionaires for Peace Conclave 2026, scheduled to be held at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai on May 21, 2026. The conclave is expected to bring together policymakers, global leaders, and stakeholders to deliberate on peacebuilding and sustainable development strategies.
Growing Importance of Partnerships
The MoU reflects a broader trend of cross-sector collaborations becoming central to addressing complex global challenges such as malnutrition, inequality, and climate-linked vulnerabilities. For organisations like IAPM and IIMSAM, the real test will lie in translating intent into measurable outcomes on the ground.
