Srinagar: Joint Forces in an operation on Thursday morning recovered pistols and grenades besides bullets near a government school in Karnah area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The recovery was made near Government High School Hajitara Karnah. This is the biggest haul of arms and ammunition along with drugs in recent times ever since the crackdown on terrorists began in the valley.
Sources informed news agencies that local police and soldiers during a search operation recovered 5 pistols, 150 pistol rounds, 15 grenades, 5 magazines, 3 detonators and a packet of brown sugar with 999 mark.
Police in this regard registered a case and set investigation into motion, sources added.
