Mumbai: Following the Pahalgam attack, did we witness the same fearlessness once shown by Indira Gandhi? Where are those who once boasted about “going in and attacking”? These people are now living carefree lives, without even a frown on their foreheads. Even Owaisi has said, “Instead of attacking, go in and settle there.” But when will they go in? When will they attack?

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister is busy attending events with film stars and campaigning in Bihar. This is the real issue—while the nation mourns, they are clapping at celebrity events. After such a grave attack, all public events should have been canceled for at least 15 days. At a time like this, national security should be the top priority. Unfortunately, our leadership doesn’t appear to be acting accordingly.

We also oppose the opposition’s support for this kind of leadership. The Home Ministry must be held accountable for the attacks from Uri to Pulwama to Pahalgam. Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sanjay Raut strongly criticized the government, stating that they don’t even have the moral right to speak.

Raut further said that if the Home Minister were truly patriotic, he would have resigned immediately. The government should have suspended the Home Minister, he asserted, taking direct aim at Amit Shah. While the army will certainly respond to the attack, the ruling party remains consumed by politics 24/7—always plotting to topple one government and form another. Raut accused them of being obsessed with sabotage rather than governance.

He also questioned the opposition’s silence, asking why they are supporting the government instead of demanding accountability.

Why were resignations taken in the past? After the 26/11 attacks, R.R. Patil was made to resign. Similarly, Shivraj Patil stepped down. If Sharad Pawar does not want Amit Shah to resign now, then why was R.R. Patil asked to step down back then? Even Vilasrao Deshmukh resigned under pressure, despite it not being strictly necessary. Those who are not demanding Amit Shah’s resignation today should not extend him their support, Raut stated clearly.
