The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of India recently declared Satwinder Singh, also known as Satinderjit Singh or Goldy Brar, as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. This declaration comes in the wake of Brar’s alleged involvement in various criminal activities, including the high-profile murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
Brar, a notorious gangster, has been identified as the primary suspect in the murder case of the popular rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, who was fatally shot in Mansa district last year. Punjab Police named Brar as the mastermind behind the crime, prompting an extensive investigation into his activities.
According to statements released by the MHA, Goldy Brar stands accused of being affiliated with cross-border agencies and is purportedly connected to multiple homicides. Additionally, he is reported to espouse radical ideologies and has been implicated in making threatening calls to pro-nationalist leaders. His alleged involvement extends to demanding ransom and showcasing claims of various killings across diverse social media platforms.
The MHA’s release further highlighted that Goldy Brar, currently residing in Brampton, Canada, has ties to the banned terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International, amplifying concerns about his alleged involvement in activities associated with the group.
The declaration of Brar as a terrorist underscores the severity of his alleged actions and aims to facilitate coordinated efforts between national and international agencies to address and curtail his purported criminal involvements.
