“They Want to Instigate a Civil War”: Union Minister Giriraj Singh Slams Rahul Gandhi Over Farmer Remarks 

New Delhi: A sharp political exchange erupted in Parliament after Union Minister Giriraj Singh strongly criticized Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his remarks linked to a Privilege Motion moved by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey.

Responding to questions from reporters, Giriraj Singh dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s claims concerning farmers and accused the opposition of deliberately creating confusion. He said, “What farmer issue? Lies, like Rafale. Spreading confusion among the people. The thing that the country’s Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said that there will be no tampering with the interests of the farmers. These people just want to spread confusion in the country… They want to instigate a civil war in the country…”

Singh defended the government’s position, referring to assurances given by Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, both of whom have publicly stated that farmers’ interests will not be compromised under any policy decision.
