Srinagar: The first meeting of members of the newly elected District Development Council (DDC) and Chairpersons of Block Development Councils (BDCs) of Kupwara District was held at Dak Bungalow, Handwara under the Chairmanship of recently elected Chairman of DDC, Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Pandithpori. All the members congratulated Pandithpori for being elected as Chairman, DDC, Kupwara.
During the interaction, all the members of DDC and Chairpersons of BDCs of Kupwara District have given an assurance to Pandithpuri for their support for the welfare of the people of Kupwara. All the members have resolved to work for the development of the district.
Irfan Sultan Pandithpuri in his maiden speech has also shared his vision for the development of the district, emphasized on the members to work for the redressal of grievances of general public at the grass root level. He reminded the members that development and Social Justice is the main motto and agenda of Panchayati Raj institutions which can be realised only by taking cognizance of the problems of our people and finding a solution in terms of available resources.
