False Allegations Dismissed: Bombay High Court Slams Janardan Jangle’s Petition Against Kapil Patil & Educationists

Mumbai : The Bombay High Court has delivered a strong rebuke to Janardan Jangle, who attempted to defame Kapil Patil, Maharashtra government officials, and renowned educational institution heads by filing a petition against them. A division bench comprising Justice Revati Mohite-Dere and Justice Dr. Neela Gokhale dismissed the petition in its very first hearing.

In its verdict, the court stated, “considering what is stated in the Petition and the relief, we are not inclined to entertain the Petition. The petition is dismissed.”

Janardan Jangle had filed a baseless and frivolous petition against several prominent figures, including Kapil Patil, Maharashtra Government, MLA Sunil Raut, Education Institutions Association leader Sadanand Rawarane, Vinay Raut, Satish Nayak (Indian Education Society), Rajendra Pradhan (D.S. High School), Chitralekha Mahadik (wife of late Ankush Mahadik, former president of Shikshak Bharti Mumbai) and Other education institution heads

The High Court outrightly rejected the petition, preventing what it deemed a misuse of the legal system for personal vendetta.

Advocates Deepa Punde, Sachin Punde, Uday Warunjikar, Gargi Warunjikar, Sonali Chavan, and Nandini Menon effectively defended Kapil Patil and other educationalists in court.

Kapil Patil’s Statement on the Verdict : This ruling serves as a warning against individuals who engage in malicious activities such as Harassment of educational institutions, teacher organizations, faculty, and public representatives, Spreading misinformation on social media to defame individuals, Interfering in institutional inquiries against guilty employees to exert undue pressure, Extorting money from misled employees facing inquiries, Threatening schools with protests and meddling in their operations, Using unauthorized organizations to pressurize education departments, universities, and political representatives for personal gain

The Bombay High Court has reprimanded Janardan Jangle in multiple cases. Additionally, in 2018, the Charity Commissioner deregistered his organization, “Mumbai Shikshak Lokshahi Aghadi Sangh,” for failing to comply with legal regulations.

This decisive High Court ruling reinforces the legal protection of Maharashtra’s education sector from baseless harassment and extortion attempts.
