In a heated exchange of words, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut fired back at Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis following allegations of the previous government’s involvement with Lalit Patil, a self-proclaimed ‘drug kingpin.’ Raut, in no uncertain terms, challenged Fadnavis to “strengthen his intelligence,” warning of a potentially explosive situation reminiscent of Hamas.
Raut vehemently denied any affiliation between Lalit Patil and the Shiv Sena, pointing fingers at Dadaji Bhuse, a member of Fadnavis’s cabinet, for allegedly bringing Patil into the party and designating him a ‘khaas aadmi.’ Raut claimed that Bhuse had previously stated that Patil was destined for the BJP but instead brought him into the Shiv Sena, where he never officially became a member.
The verbal confrontation escalated when Raut drew comparisons to international intelligence, suggesting that even Israel believed in the strength of its intelligence apparatus while potentially being unaware of clandestine activities within their midst.
This clash of accusations and counter-accusations follows Fadnavis’s earlier allegations that the Uddhav Thackeray government had facilitated Lalit Patil’s stay in a hospital and appointed him as the Nashik District Chief of Shiv Sena during their tenure. The situation remains tense, with both parties holding their ground as the public watches in anticipation of further developments.
