Srinagar: Everonn Aloha Handwara conducted district level mental arithmetic competition 2022 Phase A and organized a prize distribution of the district level competition phase A 2022. On Sunday at the Shakul Alam Environmental Hall, Handwara, non-Aloha students from different schools of the area were also part of the event, the students were supposed to attempt 70 arithmetic sums in just five minutes, besides a seminar on a role of education in shaping ethical behaviour was also hosted where the participants thrown light on various dimensions of ethical education.
Additional District Collector, Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir felicitated the chief guest, among guest of honours included Ghulam Ahmad Qurashi former DG Economics and Statistics planning department government of JK, Principal GDC Kupwara, Mohammad Shafi Lone, Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Bhat DFO Social Forestry, Dr Irshad Ahmad senior assistant professor GDC Handwara, Inatullaha Qurashi IC Principal GHHS Langate, civil society members Ghulam Rasool Banday.
Centre coordinator Aloha, Kralpora, Tawseef Ahmad Wani, centre coordinator Dangiwacha, Rafiabad, Tajamul Islam, Javid Mohidin, language trainer, Chief Editor JK News Wave Nissar Shaheen were also present.
Besides an energetic gathering of parent’s students and media personnel were also present. The guests felicitated the prize winners of the competition with attractive trophies and words of encouragement for the position holders of the seminar. The position holders were – first position Mahe-e-Tallat Wani, second position Maroof Ahmad Mir, third position Yamina Iqbal.
The awards of mental arithmetic competition were given on the basis of performance of the five-minute exam as champions, first runner up and second runner up, students were also encouraged with annual titles & award of excellences besides best parent award were also distributed among parents.
ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir emphasized the importance of innovative programs and stressed people to take part in such programs. Principal GDC Kupwara Mohammad Shafi Lone in his speech highlighted the role of ethical education in building a vibrant and dynamic society.
Farhat Sultan, coordinator of Everonn Handwara urged people to take part in concentration in such innovative programs for building a strong benchmark of the society. All the parents and guests applauded the management for organizing such a beautiful event.
