Elvish Yadav, the popular YouTuber and winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, has addressed the controversy surrounding his friendship with comedian Munawar Faruqui. In a video shared on his official channel on Thursday night, Yadav extended an apology to his Hindu followers and affirmed his commitment to his religion.

In the video, Yadav can be seen expressing regret with folded hands, acknowledging his mistake and the hurt sentiments of his followers. He emphasized his loyalty to Hinduism, stating, “Yes, I was wrong. I am willing to sacrifice thousands of Munawar Faruquis for the sake of my Hindu religion. I do not consider him my friend or brother. My religion comes above everything else.”

Yadav recounted facing severe backlash on social media following a viral picture of him hugging Munawar at the ISPL T10 match. He admitted to receiving death threats and being labeled a “traitor” by some. Yadav stressed that he values his Hindu followers and credited his achievements to the Hindu community, expressing remorse for any offense caused.

Highlighting the presence of other notable figures like Akshay Kumar, Suriya, and Sachin Tendulkar at the same match, Yadav questioned why they were not scrutinized for their interactions with Munawar.
