Mumbai: Continuing the Shiv Sena tradition of holding a rally on Vijayadashami (Dussehra), Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is addressing his annual gathering today. This year, due to heavy rains that left Azad Maidan waterlogged, the venue was shifted to the NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon.
The rally, scheduled to begin in the evening, has drawn thousands of supporters from Mumbai and across Maharashtra. Shinde has emphasized that the event will not only showcase political strength but also carry a social commitment, with a focus on collecting aid for farmers and flood victims.
