Hyderabad: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched a formal investigation into 29 Indian film and television personalities in connection with a suspected online betting application scam. The probe stems from a First Information Report (FIR) registered by the Cyberabad police in Hyderabad, Telangana, which flagged large-scale financial transactions linked to the promotion and usage of an illegal betting platform.
High-profile names including actors Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Manchu Lakshmi, Nidhi Agarwal, Ananya Nagalla, and television presenter Srimukhi have come under the scanner. While none of the celebrities have been formally charged yet, ED officials confirmed that they are investigating their digital and financial records to determine the extent of their involvement.
