Washington: In a surprise diplomatic development, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that India and Pakistan have agreed to a “full and immediate ceasefire,” following what he described as a long night of U.S.-brokered talks between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
Taking to Twitter, President Trump said: “After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire…”
