Telangana: The political storm in Telangana intensified following the suspension of BRS MLC K Kavitha, as BJP MP K Laxman raised sharp questions about the pace of accountability and alleged political collusion.
Speaking on the suspension, Laxman said, “This is their family matter… Kavitha has spoken about her cousins, Harish Rao and Santosh Rao, and their involvement in a scam, and how her father, KCR, was defamed because of it… Revanth Reddy, who was the PCC President at the time, stated that they had proof and that when they came to power, they would send all the accused to jail. Now, even after 22 months in power and numerous exposes, Revanth Reddy just set up the Ghose Commission. I want to understand why it takes so long. Do Congress and BRS have some secret understanding on this?…”
Laxman’s comments come amid a political tug-of-war in Telangana, where the Bharatiya Janata Party continues to hold the ruling BRS accountable for alleged delays in investigations and perceived inaction against prominent political figures.
The suspension of Kavitha, a prominent voice in Telangana politics, has further amplified scrutiny on internal party dynamics and raised questions about transparency, governance, and alleged family influences within the BRS leadership.
