“DMK Will Win 2026 with People’s Support”: CM Stalin Launches Statewide Welfare Drive on Kalaignar’s 102nd Birth Anniversary

Chennai: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin reaffirmed the DMK’s political resolve to return to power in the 2026 Assembly elections, declaring the party’s commitment to social justice and people-centric governance. Speaking at an event to mark the 102nd birth anniversary of the late DMK patriarch Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi, Stalin launched a large-scale welfare distribution drive at 102 locations across the state.

“We are moving forward with Kalaignar’s vision and the people’s trust. Our government’s performance and commitment to social welfare will ensure the DMK’s victory in the 2026 elections,” Stalin said during his address, invoking the legacy of Karunanidhi, whose contributions to Tamil Nadu’s progress remain central to the party’s identity.

The Chief Minister also highlighted a key development in the state’s pursuit of inclusive governance — the anticipated approval of the long-pending reservation bill for differently-abled individuals. “We expect the Governor to grant assent to the bill that provides horizontal reservation for persons with disabilities. It is a crucial step towards equal opportunity and justice,” Stalin noted.
