In a poignant display of unwavering devotion, a multitude of devotees flocked to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday. Driven by spiritual zeal, some enthusiasts arrived as early as 3 am, eager to offer prayers and partake in the divine aura surrounding Shri Ram Lalla on the inaugural morning following the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.

The atmosphere outside the main gate is charged with anticipation and reverence as devotees eagerly seek to participate in this sacred moment. The recent Pran Pratishtha ceremony, presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marked the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, elevating the significance of this initial post-ceremony morning for ardent devotees.

As of today (January 23), the temple is open to the public, with expectations of at least 5 lakh devotees visiting on the inaugural day. Prayer sessions will commence at 8 am, with the temple’s doors temporarily closing from 1 pm to 3 pm. The daily aarti, a ritualistic prayer, will be conducted twice a day – once in the morning at 6:30 am and again in the evening at 7:30 pm. Devotees have the option to obtain passes for the aarti through both online and offline channels.

Celebrations reverberated across the country to mark Lord Ram’s symbolic return to his throne. The spotlight turned to ‘Ram Nagri’ Ayodhya, where the city captured global attention with the illumination of earthen lamps and the dazzling display of fireworks lighting up the night sky. Vibrant visuals showcased joyous celebrations unfolding at the iconic Saryu Ghat, where locals fervently expressed their devotion to Ram Lalla.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rituals at the “historic” Ram temple on January 22, unveiling the Ram Lalla idol at the Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple. Following the ceremony, PM Modi performed the essential ‘aarti’ of the Ram Lalla idol, symbolizing the infusion of divine energy into the sacred image.

As Ayodhya embraces this historic moment, the Ram Temple stands as a beacon of faith, welcoming devotees from near and far to partake in the spiritual essence of this monumental event.
