In a recent development, ex-MLA and Deputy Leader and Spokesperson for Shiv Sena, Krishna Hegde, has taken a proactive stance in seeking justice for investors who fell victim to the Bliss Consultants scam. Hegde, in a letter addressed to EOW Joint Commissioner Nishith Mishra last week, urged the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) to swiftly move to court. The objective is to facilitate the distribution of the frozen Rs 170 crore held in Bliss Consultants’ accounts in Kotak Bank and Zerodha Trading among the affected investors.

Highlighting the severity of the situation, Hegde emphasized the urgent need to support investors who have suffered financial losses due to the scam. He proposed that the proceeds from the frozen properties belonging to the Mehta family, the alleged culprits in the case, should also be distributed among the victims.

In a commendatory note, Hegde expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Joint Commissioner Nishith Mishra and the entire EOW team for successfully apprehending the perpetrators, Ashesh Mehta and his wife Shivangi Lad Mehta, after a six-month pursuit.

Addressing the impact on investors, Hegde stated, “Investors who had invested recently were the worst hit.” He shed light on the diverse demographic affected, including senior citizens, pensioners, and single parents, who are now facing dire financial straits.

Expressing optimism, Hegde expressed hope that proactive action by the EOW would lead to a swift resolution for the investors, enabling them to recover their funds promptly. The urgency of the matter was underscored, considering the vulnerable position of those affected, and the need for a just and efficient distribution of frozen assets.

As the investigation progresses, Krishna Hegde’s plea adds a significant voice to the call for justice, urging authorities to take decisive actions that will provide relief to the victims of the Bliss Consultants scam.
