Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s plea for divorce from his estranged wife, Payal Abdullah, was rejected by the Delhi High Court on Tuesday. The court upheld the decision of the family court, stating that the allegations of cruelty were deemed vague and lacked merit.
A bench comprising justices Sanjeev Sachdeva and Vikas Mahajan found no infirmity in the family court’s order and subsequently dismissed Abdullah’s appeal. The court’s decision marks a continuation of the legal battle between the former Chief Minister and his estranged spouse.
