Police have announced the arrest of a weapon supplier allegedly involved in providing pistols and a significant sum of money to the shooters responsible for the tragic killing of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. This arrest brings the total count of apprehended suspects in the case to eight.
The arrestee, identified as Puja Saini, also known as Puja Batra, was reportedly linked to the supply of firearms and funds to the assailants involved in the fatal attack on Gogamedi. Authorities have indicated that Saini, along with her husband Mahendra Kumar Meghwal, alias Sameer, had previously provided weaponry to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang on multiple occasions.
Gangster Rohit Godara, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, took to social media to claim responsibility for Gogamedi’s murder. He alleged that Gogamedi was supporting his adversaries, escalating tensions that ultimately led to the fatal shooting.
Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph disclosed startling details regarding the incident. Two individuals, Rohit Singh Rathore and Nitin Fouji, reportedly entered Gogamedi’s premises with the assistance of a neighbor, Naveen Shekhawat. Following a brief conversation, the assailants fatally shot Gogamedi, firing multiple rounds. CCTV footage captured Fouji returning to fire additional bullets at the victim, resulting in a total of nine gunshot wounds to Gogamedi’s chest, head, and back.
The police’s investigations revealed the seizure of an AK-47 rifle from the premises of Saini and Meghwal, suggesting potential involvement in the killing of gangster Raju Thehat in December 2022.
This arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation into Gogamedi’s murder, shedding light on the intricate network and potential motives behind the heinous crime.
