A new legal saga unfolds as Yavatmal police registered a case against Shiv Sena’s (UBT) leader, Sanjay Raut, over an article published in the party’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana,’ targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The complaint, filed by BJP Yavatmal convener Nitin Bhutada, accuses Raut, the executive editor of the publication, of composing an objectionable article against PM Modi on December 11.

The case lodged against Raut invokes sections 153 (A), 505 (2), and 124 (A) of the Indian Penal Code, charging him with offenses related to promoting enmity between different groups and other associated violations. The Umarkhed police station is handling the investigation into this matter.

This incident further escalates the ongoing tensions between political entities, sparking debates regarding freedom of expression, responsible journalism, and the boundaries of critique within the political landscape. As the legal process unfolds, it underscores the delicate balance between free speech and legal boundaries in a charged political environment.
