The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Saturday announced the immediate withdrawal of its nationwide protest after the Centre reportedly accepted all of the organisation’s key demands during the third round of negotiations, bringing weeks of demonstrations over the alleged NEET paper leak to an end.
The breakthrough came after senior Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh held fresh discussions with the CJP delegation, represented by the party’s Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das and National Spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka.
According to the CJP, the latest round of dialogue concluded on a positive note, prompting the organisation to call off its agitation with immediate effect. The party said the government’s acceptance of its demands marked a significant milestone for the movement and paved the way for ending the protests.
The meeting is being viewed as the most crucial round of negotiations since the demonstrations began, with both sides reaching a consensus after earlier discussions failed to produce a final agreement.
The withdrawal of the protest comes amid a series of major developments linked to the movement, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the Centre’s continued engagement with protest representatives over issues related to examination reforms and student concerns.
