BJP candidate from the New Delhi constituency, Parvesh Verma, cast his vote in the Delhi Assembly elections on Wednesday. He voted along with his family at a polling booth in Nirman Bhawan.

Speaking to the media, Verma expressed confidence that the BJP would win the elections. He urged citizens to come out and vote, saying that this election was crucial for the future of Delhi. He also emphasized the need to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the capital.

Targeting the Aam Aadmi Party, Verma claimed that on February 8, AAP would raise concerns about EVMs because the BJP was set to form the government. He stated that BJP was receiving a positive response from the public, and people were eager for a change in leadership.

Polling for all 70 assembly seats in Delhi began on Wednesday morning under tight security. Voting started at 7:00 AM and will continue until 6:00 PM. The election is a major political battle, with AAP seeking re-election while BJP and Congress aim to regain power.

The New Delhi constituency is witnessing a high-profile contest between AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal, BJP’s Parvesh Verma, and Congress’s Sandeep Dikshit. In total, 699 candidates are contesting across all 70 assembly seats in Delhi.

The national capital has 1.56 crore registered voters, including 83.76 lakh men, 72.36 lakh women, and 1,267 third-gender voters. The electorate also includes 2.39 lakh first-time voters aged 18-19, 1.09 lakh elderly voters aged 85 and above, and 79,885 persons with disabilities.
