Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Set to Launch Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, Rs 2,500 Aid for Economically Weaker Women

New Delhi: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is expected to launch the much-awaited Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, a welfare scheme aimed at providing ₹2,500 per month to women from economically weaker sections. The scheme, a key BJP poll promise during the Delhi Assembly elections, is likely to be announced at a Mahila Diwas programme at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium today.

Who is Eligible?

According to reports from The Indian Express, the scheme will be applicable to:
✔ Women aged 18-60 years residing in Delhi.
✔ Those whose family income is below ₹3 lakh per annum.
✔ Applicants who do not pay income tax.
✔ Women who are not government employees or recipients of financial aid from other government schemes.

The initiative is expected to empower thousands of women, providing them with financial security and greater economic independence. The scheme also aligns with the BJP-led government’s commitment to women’s welfare and socio-economic upliftment.
