Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been granted bail in the Excise Policy Case. The decision was made by Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court, which approved Kejriwal’s bail application on a bond of Rs 1 lakh.

Special Judge Niyay Bindu of the Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. The judge declined the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) request to stay the order for 48 hours, allowing Kejriwal’s release to proceed without delay.

The court’s decision came after hearing detailed arguments from both the prosecution and the defence counsel regarding Kejriwal’s application for regular bail. The ED had argued against the bail, but the judge ultimately decided in favor of Kejriwal.

Previously, on Wednesday, the court had extended Kejriwal’s judicial custody in the case until July 3.

The Excise Policy Case has been a significant point of contention, with allegations and counter-allegations involving key political figures. The bail for Kejriwal marks a notable development in the ongoing legal proceedings.
