Mumbai: Culture Room is set to launch Take Off Vol. 1, a new music-led rooftop series at Bombay Swim Club, Mumbai’s first rooftop day club located at the ICONIQA Hotel, Andheri East. Designed as a sunset-to-midnight experience, the series blends open-air electronic music with the city’s skyline and runway views.
Headlining the debut edition is Melbourne-born DJ and producer Luke Alessi, one of the emerging names in global electronic music. Known for his blend of house, disco, and funk, Alessi’s sound balances nostalgic grooves with contemporary club energy. His breakout track The One, a collaboration with Jocelyn Brown and Chloé Caillet, reached the top of the Beatport charts and has received support from artists such as Jamie xx, Peggy Gou, and Chris Stussy.
Supporting acts include Luna, whose percussion-driven Afro house sets are designed for sunset hours, and Aalika, known for her groove-led house selections that move seamlessly between melodic and deeper tones.
Take Off is envisioned as a recurring series focused on dance, connection, and curated electronic music experiences, set against Mumbai’s urban nightscape. Complementing the music is Bombay Swim Club’s Japanese–Mexican menu, offering a mix of sushi, tacos, and craft cocktails.
