CRPF 92nd Battalion organises medical camp at Federpora Baramullah

Srinagar: The 92 Battalion Kashmir Operations Sector (KOS) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) had organized a free medical camp in the vicinity of Police Post at Federpora Baramullah falling under police station Federpora jurisdiction at Government Middle School Federpora, under Civic Action programme.  More than 250 patients including children, women and elderly were treated and given medicines at the medical camp. 

Though the main role of CRPF is internal security, even then we are always ready to provide assistance to the public by conducting medical camps. This unit will conduct more such camps to assist the local public in future. On the occasion the Commanding officer of the 92 battalion of KOS, CRPF and other high ranking CRPF officers were present.

In his vote of thanks Commandant AOL 92 Bn CRPF, Vijay Kumar briefly described about the programme and stated that such programmes have been organized by the CRPF under its social responsibility scheme wherein they identify the needy segments of the society in their area of operations. 

He also added that such programmes are being organized by the force to develop healthy Police-Public relation and foster faith and trust amongst the local people towards the security forces and vigorous efforts are always made to render a helping hand in all respects and to boost up the health of the locals. 

In addition to this, CRPF has its CRPF Madadgaar helpline established at Inspector General of Police (IGP), KOS, CRPF, Pantha Chowk office in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). Through this financial assistance for the following aspects is also provided to the J&K Inhabitants by calling on Helpline Number – 14411. 

In the CRPF medical camp, medical emergencies were attended to, essential medicines were given, blood donation drive was undertaken, Haemodialysis/Chemotherapy was provided to the needy, assistance to the needy and assistance to travellers, tourists/pilgrimages was also provided.

Besides this, cases of domestic violence, assistance to women in distress, drug de-addiction sessions were held. The CRPF has been giving priority to public safety and security, helping local youths in job recruitment and sports activities.

He also informed that the 92nd Battalion has successfully hosted many such programmes and will continue to do so in the future also to help the needy people. He hoped that such efforts will not only help the needy, but also dispel misconception about the force and make people friendlier to it.
