Covid-19 vaccination drive for frontline workers, police held at DPL Handwara

Srinagar: An extensive Covid-19 vaccination drive for all the frontline workers of Handwara Police was carried out at District Police Lines Handwara on Friday. A camp was organised for vaccinating the Handwara Police personnel who have been working actively for containing the pandemic in collaboration with the Health Department.

The police officials led by Superintendent of Police Handwara Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy (IPS) received their first shot of Covid-19 vaccine as a part of the immunisation programme against this pandemic. SP Handwara advised all the officials to shed any inhibitions about the vaccine and avail this opportunity of administering the vaccine for immunising the frontline workers. He further added that vaccination drive will be a key factor in strengthening our defense against this disease and will facilitate resumption of our daily life schedules.

He said that the successful administration of this vaccine will recognize the emergence of the country’s leadership on the global front in the health sector. He appreciated all those Police officials who are contributing with their efforts against the Covid-19 pandemic. He also thanked the Health officials for their assistance in administering the vaccine doses to Police Officials. It is pertinent to mention here that Handwara Police has been playing a key role in augmenting the efforts made by authorities for containing this pandemic.
