Mumbai: terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which left 26 people dead, including several tourists. In a recent statement, Wadettiwar questioned the official version of events surrounding the attack, particularly the claim that the terrorists reportedly asked their victims about their religion before opening fire.

“The government should take responsibility for the Pahalgam terrorist attack. They (the government) are saying that terrorists killed people after asking them (about their religion). Do terrorists have time for all this?” Wadettiwar remarked, challenging the narrative being presented by authorities.

He further dismissed claims that religion played a role in the attack, stating, “Some people say that this did not happen. Terrorists have no caste or religion.” According to the Congress leader, the priority should be on holding those responsible accountable. “Catch those who are responsible and take action. This is the sentiment of the country,” Wadettiwar asserted, calling for decisive action against the terrorists and those behind the heinous attack.
