New Delhi: The Congress party has released its fourth list of candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, naming five candidates to contest in various constituencies. The party is gearing up for the elections scheduled for February 5, 2025, with an eye on strengthening its position in the Delhi Legislative Assembly.

In the latest list, Surender Kumar and Rahul Dhanak have been nominated to contest from the reserved Scheduled Caste (SC) constituencies. Kumar will fight from the Bawana seat, while Dhanak has been fielded from Karol Bagh, also reserved for SC candidates.

The other three candidates in the list include Sumesh Gupta for Rohini, Virender Bhiduri for Tughlakabad, and Arjun Bhadana for Badarpur. These constituencies are significant in the party’s strategy to ensure better representation in Delhi’s diverse political landscape.

Earlier this week, Congress had announced its third list of 16 candidates, including prominent figures such as former AAP MLA Dharam Pal Lakda, who will contest from Mundka, and former Union Minister Krishna Tirath, who has been fielded from Patel Nagar.

In previous announcements, Congress had named candidates for several other key constituencies, including Rajesh Gupta for Kirari, Kunwar Karan Singh for Model Town, Prem Sharma for Hari Nagar, Harbani Kaur for Janakpuri, Jitender Solanki for Vikaspuri, Sushma Yadav for Najafgarh, Mange Ram for Palam, and Vishesh Tokas for RK Puram.
