Three New Educational Centres for Underprivileged Children in Mumbai
The CMA CGM Foundation and Child Rights and You (CRY) have renewed their partnership for 2025, expanding their initiative with three new educational centres in Kurla, Mumbai. These centres will offer structured educational programs aligned with school curricula, alongside extracurricular activities such as sports and drama. They will also focus on essential life skills development, confidence building, and creating a safe learning environment for marginalized children aged 6 to 18.
Since 2023, the first two centres established under this partnership have benefited 1,000 children annually. With the addition of three more centres, over 1,500 children will now gain access to quality education, enhancing their opportunities to enroll in and thrive within the formal education system.
To further engage with the community, CMA CGM Group employees will participate in monthly volunteer activities with the children. Additionally, an annual football tournament will be organized across all five centres, fostering teamwork and community spirit.
