The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) resumed its agitation at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Tuesday, signalling that its campaign over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 irregularities is far from over. Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel continued to maintain a strong presence around Jantar Mantar and nearby government installations. The renewed deployment comes after clashes during the march towards Parliament reportedly left more than 100 police personnel and over 60 protesters injured, according to official accounts.

Amid the escalating confrontation, the Centre held its first formal interaction with CJP representatives on Monday. Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda met spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, who submitted a written memorandum outlining the group’s demands.
The delegation sought the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the unrestricted release of activist Sonam Wangchuk from hospital care, and ₹1 crore compensation for families of NEET aspirants who allegedly died by suicide following the 2026 examination controversy.
Following the meeting, Nadda acknowledged receiving the memorandum and said discussions had begun after the protesters approached the government for talks. He also appealed to demonstrators to end their sit-in and cooperate in restoring normalcy.

Separately, a video circulating on social media, purportedly showing CJP spokesperson Vijeta Dahiya at a Burger King outlet during the ongoing protest, triggered criticism online.
