AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal visited RML Hospital to meet protesters who sustained injuries during the police action.
Senior AAP leaders Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj accompanied him during the hospital visit, expressing solidarity with those injured in Monday’s confrontation.
Mallikarjun Kharge Targets Centre
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge strongly criticised the government over the handling of the protests, alleging that students were subjected to force instead of dialogue.
He questioned the government’s response to the demonstrations, saying many students had been hospitalised after tear gas and police action. Kharge also accused the Centre of preventing the Opposition from raising the issue inside Parliament and alleged that democratic debate was being stifled.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju indicated that discussions between the government and CJP representatives are progressing positively.
According to him, dialogue is moving in the “right direction” while stressing that the atmosphere should remain peaceful.

BJP MP K Sudhakar alleged that the protest lacked genuine substance and claimed that non-student elements had also joined the demonstrations.
He questioned who organised and supported the protest while asserting that the facts behind the agitation would eventually become public.

Doctors at Safdarjung Hospital said climate activist Sonam Wangchuk remains under close medical observation.
According to the latest medical update:
- His vital parameters remain stable.
- Blood sugar levels continue to remain low.
- Potassium level has been recorded at 3.2 mEq/L.
- Doctors said he continues to suffer from persistent pancytopenia, including anaemia and low white blood cell count.
- Wangchuk is receiving oral rehydration therapy and potassium supplements but has declined intravenous fluids and glucose administration.
Medical teams have recommended continued monitoring due to his condition.
CJP Claims No Concrete Response Yet
CJP national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka alleged that several protesters suffered serious injuries during Monday’s clashes, claiming some volunteers sustained head injuries while another suffered fractured ribs.
He also said the organisation was still awaiting a concrete response from the Centre following Monday’s meeting with JP Nadda.
JP Nadda on Government-Protester Talks
While arriving in Parliament for the second day of the Monsoon Session, JP Nadda was asked about the government’s engagement with CJP representatives.
Responding briefly, the Union Minister said, “Dialogue is always good.”
