Responding to the increasing demand for train services from Mumbai to northern destinations during the summer season, Central Railway has announced plans to operate 22 additional Summer Special train services between Panvel and Chhapra to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic.

The schedule for these additional services is as follows:

  • Train No. 05194, a weekly special, will depart from Panvel at 21:40 hrs every Friday from April 19, 2024, to June 28, 2024. It will arrive at Chhapra at 08:50 hrs on the third day, totaling 11 trips.
  • Train No. 05193, also a weekly special, will depart from Chhapra at 15:20 hrs every Thursday from April 18, 2024, to June 27, 2024. It will reach Panvel at 20:30 hrs the next day, also comprising 11 trips.

These special trains will make halts at various important stations along the route, including Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj, Banaras, Varanasi, Gyanpur City, and Ballia.

The composition of these special trains will include 14 AC-3 Tier Economy coaches, 3 Sleeper Class coaches, 4 Second Seating coaches (including one Second Sitting cum Guard’s Brake Van), and 1 generator van, totaling 22 LHB coaches.

Passengers interested in availing the services of Train No. 05194 are advised to make reservations, as bookings will open on April 14, 2024, at all computerized reservation centers and on the official website www.irctc.co.in.
