Kupwara: A candlelight march was held at Main Chowk Handwara to condemn the recent car blast in Delhi. The peaceful protest was led by Dr. Sheikh Jamsheed and Advocate Mir Imran, and witnessed participation from local residents, traders, and members of various civil society groups.
The participants raised slogans against terrorism and expressed deep solidarity with the victims of the tragic attack. They termed the incident a cowardly assault on peace and humanity and called for unity against all forms of violence.
Similarly, a candlelight march was also organized at Main Chowk Langate Kupwara, where members of civil society, local traders, and residents gathered in large numbers to denounce the Delhi car blast.
Speaking to the media, participants said that no religion permits the killing of innocent people and urged the authorities to take strict action against those involved in the incident. They also appealed to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to strengthen preventive measures to ensure the safety and security of citizens across the country.
